The
plan is to
design an
electric
racing car
with in
very
strict parameters
and at the
top of the
list was
the
ElectricGT
mantra "Keep
it
simple".
The
electric
motor has
to be
powered by
six solar
fuel cells
that are
re-charged
by the
Sun. Many
of the
components
are based
in
mountain
bike technology,
including
the manufacture
of the
'Flat
Frame
Chassis'. The
nuts &
bolts that
hold the
Mk-04
together
are completely
standardized,
keeping
the number
of tools
need for a
full service
down to
the bare minimum.
The tiers
have to be
big, fat
&
slick,
co's
that's the
way we
like 'em
and the suspension
is all
done with
spring
shocks.

This
is the
Blender
model that
the real
prototype
Mk-04 will
be based
on, although
there are
still a
few un-resolved
issues.

The

It
was from
this early
Blender
model that
the idea
for the
ElectricGT
racecar
came
from.

A
first attempt
at a
proper
blender
model that
is based
on genuine
mechanics
and production
methods

The
Mk-02
The
next stage
in the
design and
this one
was soon
drop as
the whole
thing was
just far
to spindly

Now
with
Bobslayer
Bodyworks,
the Mk-03
model incorporated,
for the first
time, the
'Flat

Chassis'

The
Mk-04
SQ
frame
Modeled
with square
tube, the
Mk-04 SQ
uses the
flat frame
chassis,
plus now
with new
rack and pinion
steering,
front and
back suspension
and foot peddle
mounting
